My Approach
I primarily work from a psychodynamic orientation, believing much of what effects us today is heavily influenced by relationships with early caregivers and environments. These attachments and experiences color our emotional lives and create the foundation for how we relate to ourselves and others. We will use our therapeutic relationship to explore and identify how conscious and unconscious patterns continue to shape and influence your life today.
My name is Nancy Lappetito, and I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Work Associate in the state of Washington. I received my Master of Social Work from Smith College School for Social Work and completed my undergraduate degree at Bates College with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. I am practicing under the supervision of Sam Good, as I work toward full independent licensure.
Background
Therapeutic Orientation
We’ll collaborate to uncover the root of your suffering instead of managing the symptoms that make living with it so taxing. It is a process that seeks to enable one to live more fully than merely coping with our pain allows. To learn more about this style of work, you can read more here.
