Approach

I primarily work from a psychodynamic orientation, believing much of what effects us today is heavily influenced by relationships with caregivers and early environments. These attachments and experiences color our emotional lives and create the foundation for how we relate to ourselves and others. We will use our therapeutic relationship to explore and identify how conscious and unconscious patterns continue to shape and influence your life today.

My name is Nancy Lappetito, and I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in the state of Washington. I received my Master of Social Work from Smith College School for Social Work and completed my undergraduate degree at Bates College with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology.

Background

Psychodynamic Orientation

I strive to meet clients with curiosity, warmth, and deep listening. From this space, we’ll collaborate to explore, understand, and find meaning in your emotions, experiences, and ways of interacting with the world. I believe this process enables one to live more fully than merely working to cope with our pain and suffering.
